The Consulate General of India in Jeddah celebrated the 11th Ayurveda Day on 29 September 2026 under the theme ‘Ayurveda for a Healthier Tomorrow’ and the broader vision of ‘One Health, One Future.’

 

The event brought together diplomats, healthcare professionals, academics, business representatives and members of the Indian community. Consul General Shri Fahad Suri highlighted Ayurveda’s growing relevance in preventive healthcare, nutrition, balanced living and holistic well-being.

 

Expert sessions included Dr. Shihana Hassan, who spoke on the preventive wisdom of Ayurveda, and Dr. Jemshith Ahmed, Member of the Jeddah Chamber Healthcare and Wellness Council and the General Secretary of SIHF, who presented on “Harmony in Healing,” exploring the integration of traditional knowledge with modern medicine.

 

The programme also featured meditation, Ayur Natyam, interactive sessions and an Ayurveda exhibition showcasing medicinal plants, wellness products, herbs, spices and healthy nutrition concepts.
